OUR TEAM

Sam Hermitage: Sam is the station’s co-ordinator and founder. He is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the station and also finds time to host Friday evening’s madcap show, Comfort Zone, a pot pourri of music, comedy and leftfield features. Sam also curates the Green Futures spaces in Glastonbury Festival’s Green Fields, offering a beautiful and intimate antidote to the big stage excesses. With small stages powered by bicycle or solar energy, Green Futures is also home to emerging musicians alongside some old favourites.

Jean Vidler MBE: Jean has recently been awarded the MBE for her services to the environment and currently manages the Kingston Environment Centre in New Malden where the radio station is based, providing a valuable local green education and resource hub. Her Green Futures Show runs every Thursday from 2-3pm featuring a mixture of world, electronica, prog rock, dance and protest music spanning five decades. Along with the music, the show explores the latest items news and opinion from the environment world from technical advances to social problems and solutions.

Julia Hien: Jules assists Sam with the running of the station and is the main host/presenter for Radio Kimchi UK, a show that promotes Korean music and culture here in the UK every Tuesday from 7–8pm. When she is not in radio mode, Jules gets into another creative genre back at home in south-east London as a rapper, singer and songwriter.
