AWARD WINNING GREEN RADIO STATION ON AIR FOR KINGSTON
March 11th -25th 2011
We are pleased to announce that KGR has been awarded
an RSL (Restricted Service Licence) for 15days in March 2011.
The Comfort Zone Party
KGR is Britain’s first popular radio station with an unashamed green ethos. Our first media partner is RBK (Royal Borough of Kingston) who have generously provided the Ofcom licence fee.
The service is planned to coincide with the next "Paint the Town Green Festival" due for the whole of March 2011.
This will be the third short term licence awarded to KGR . "We are terribly excited" says station master Sam Hermitage. “This will be a real chance to unite locally and focus on our own issues and solutions”. The station will be available to all those living in Kingston . The frequency is 87.7FM and will be available to the world via the 24hr internet service http://greenfuturesfestivals.org.uk/greenradio.html
The shows will contain some of the finest live entertainment, outside broadcasts, discussions, debates, and loads of green information. As with 2009 we will hope to hook up with:
